Early Childhood Scholarship Fund – 2008/09 PDF Print E-mail

The Culture, Health, Arts, Sports and Education (CHASE) Fund in collaboration with the Ministry of Education invites applications for the Teacher Training Scholarship towards the Undergraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education tenable at any of the following Teachers’ Colleges.

  • Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College
  • Shortwood Teachers’ College
  • St. Joseph’s Teachers’ College
  • Church Teachers’ College
  • Mico Teachers’ College

Application forms are available at the Early Childhood Unit, Regional Offices of the Ministry of Education; from the CHASE website www.chase.org.jm and the Teachers’ Colleges.

Completed application forms must be sent to the Early Childhood Department at the Regional Offices or to:

The Final date to receive applications is Friday, September 5, 2008.

NB. ONLY FIRST TIME APPLICANTS NEED APPLY AS COLLEGE GRADES WILL BE USED TO SELECT PREVIOUS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES.

 

The Courtney Walsh Award is awarded annually recognizing exemplary qualities in male or female Jamaican nationals between 18 to 40 years of age who represented Jamaica, at senior level in the field of sports. The successful nominee wwill receive cash award of $500,000.00 and a Crystal Trophy administered by the Culture, Health, Arts, Sports, ans Education Fund (CHASE).
